Thematic group "On legal issues in the Arctic" is an ad hoc group of international legal experts and practitioners, international relations and political science scholars, politicians, indigenous activists, early career researchers and others interested in sharing information, knowledge and establishing a multi and inter disciplinary dialogue within the NRF and related activities. The group's objective is to enhance the "legal voice" at the open bi-annual meetings of the Northern Research Forum by promoting knowledge and info about the most recent legal developments in the North (with reference to the Antarctic if possible). The group also aims to strengthen the collaboration, the dissemination of legal knowledge and values, education, and greater partnership among legal scholars and representatives of social sciences, humanities, Northerners and other participants of the NRF activities who are engaged in Northern developments and are interested in the intersection between law, politics, international relations and other sciences.
