The Arctic in the Earth System perspective: the role of tipping points

The science sessions will focus upon the changing Arctic, and on the challenge of handling tipping points, in science and in the advisory role toward business and management. Four main topics will be discussed:

• Sea ice and oceanographic perspectives
• Marine ecosystems and fisheries
• Socioeconomic and institutional perspectives (social, economic and institutional perspectives)
• People of the North
